When it rains trash, weeds and fertilizers are carried to the storm drain. Unlike the sanitary sewer this water is not treated and flows directly to the rivers. Please keep trash and vegetation out of the streets and keep our river clean.
Speed Camera Proposal Over the years different council members have faced complaints about speeding along Highway 22. The City was approached by Blue Line, a company that installs speed cameras for communities. The Cameras are installed at no cost to the city and are purely to control the safety of the community by having a full time speed enforcement device. Cameras are proposed to be installed near Elm Street and near Dodge Street on HWY 22.  Fines are set minimal compared to what you would receive if an officer wrote you a citation. A three day study in July showed that on average 17.4% of vehicles traveling into town at Dodge Street were speeding and that 16.7% of vehicles traveling into town at Elm Street were speeding. Speeding is defined at anything over 9 MPH. Please Check Here for the proposed ordinance
